What’s the big deal

Smartphones open the information world to us at exactly the time we need it.  When the problem arises.  When the inspiration arises.  When the question comes up.

In a Target (or a Walmart), you have access to shopping lists linked to your menu or the store’s aisle and the ability to compare prices with Walmart (or Target), Amazon and Ebay.

In a doctor’s waiting room – waiting is the operative term – you can read a book, watch a movie, exercise your brain with games, or write a note to someone, while you wait.

On the highway the smartphone really begins to change things.  After you stop for a moment, you can find a Starbucks, the cheapest gas station, an Iowa rest stop, a restaurant that serves something other than highway food or a free ATM. You can work your way around, or stop, for a snow storm. You reserve the room by using the phone.

This is just a glimpse of what is available.

Note: The apps used are not endorsed, they merely serve as examples.
